IPLI funds three Applied Research Projects for Hertie School students
The IPLI Foundation funds three Hertie School student research assistants for Applied Research Projects on international security at the Centre for International Security every year. This initiative at the Hertie School offers three research student assistants the opportunity to collaborate with faculty on a tailored research project closely related to their Master's thesis in international security. The hands-on experience this project offers provides students with an opportunity to build strong research skills and bridge academic understanding with real-world security challenges. While the methods are open, the project topics should fit within the broad area of the supervising professor's specialization.
The IPLI Applied Research Projects are funded during a two-month period in the spring semester. The project period begins with an introductory workshop led by the IPLI Foundation and ends with a public research colloquium hosted by the Centre for International Security at the end of the spring semester, in which the student research assistants present their findings and answer questions.
