MIA student Julian Lang wins Financial Times op-ed contest

Join “Rebooting the EU” discussion on 6 December.

Congratulations to Julian Lang, 2018 Master of International Affairs student, for winning the Financial Times’ (FT) 2017 Future of Europe op-ed competition!

Julian’s op-ed was selected to represent the Hertie School’s contribution to the FT’s Future of Europe op-ed competition, which solicits student contributions from the following universities, in addition to the Hertie School: Sciences Po in Paris; Bocconi in Milan; Trinity College Dublin; Jagiellonian University in Krakow; and the Athens University of Economics and Business. One student op-ed from each university is published by the FT.

The topic of Julian’s op-ed – What Europe must learn from Donald Trump – will be addressed at a public event on 6 December at the Hertie School. Panelists joining Julian in the discussion include the Hertie School’s Henrik Enderlein and Jean Pisani-Ferry, and Roula Khalaf and Philip Stephens of the Financial Times.

The event is hosted in cooperation with the Financial Times.
