Hertie School with new partner universities in Russia, China, and Brazil

In September 2014, the first Berlin students could leave for Moscow, São Paulo, or Shanghai (and vice versa).

The Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow is the Hertie School's 25th foreign partner university. Dean Anheier and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Frank-J. Weise as well as HSE Rector Yaroslav I. Kuzminov signed a cooperation agreement on academic exchange yesterday (12 September) in Moscow. At the core of the agreement is an exchange program between the Master Programmes "Public Policy“ and "Public Administration“.

Last week already, the Hertie School partnered with two other academic institutions: The Fundação Getulio Vargas, Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo (FGV-EAESP) is the first South-American University in the Hertie School's global network of partner institutions. Apart from economic study programs, the Brazilian university offers a Master in Public Administration that will be part of the future exchange programme. Just like the Hertie School, the FGV-EAESP is a member of the Global Public Policy Network (GPPN).

After the first partnership with Tsinghua University in Beijing, the Fudan University in Shanghai is the Hertie Schools second academic partner in China. Founded in 1905, Fudan is one of the oldest and most renowned Chinese universities, that can also be found in top positions of international rankings.

Exchange programmes and dual degrees with leading international universities, such as London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Sciences Po in Paris, and Columbia University in New York have been a part of studying at the Hertie School since the very beginning. In September 2014, the first Berlin students could leave for Moscow, São Paulo, or Shanghai (and vice versa).
