Hertie School study on gender equality in the arts, culture and media presented to German Cultural Council

At the invitation of the German Cultural Council (Deutscher Kulturrat), Helmut K. Anheier, President and Professor of Sociology, along with research associate Charlotte Koyro presented the Hertie School study "Gender equality in art, culture and the media: A European comparison". The study, which is also available in German, includes comparative information on gender equality in the arts, culture and media within selected European countries. It also serves as valuable guidance for German policy and strategies for associations, media institutions and civil society. The presentation to and discussion with the newly-founded committee on gender equality at the German Cultural Council took place on 8 March 2018, International Women’s Day. The study was supported by the German government’s Commissioner for Culture and Media.
