ERCAS open day

Meet Hertie’s anticorruption and state-building research team!

Established at the Hertie School in 2012, the European Research Centre for Anti-Corruption and State-Building (ERCAS) is a partner of the OECD, the World Bank, and UNODC in the work to develop fact-based and actionable good governance tools. These tools are publicly available as data repositories and interactive websites usable for dissertation research and other works. They are on corruptionrisk.org (130 countries with detailed rankings on transparency and public integrity), opentender.eu (50 million public procurement contracts searchable by sector, contracting authority, supplier, and country), europam.eu (public accountability legislation for the 35 EU and neighboring countries).

Join us for a pizza and discuss our work for the United Nations to build the first objective national framework to assess the state of corruption, meet our research fellows, and find a real-life practice partner for your thesis!

This year, we dedicate our open day to Ukraine and be will joined by our new OSUN Fellow Maria Mamedbekova and by the Hertie graduate Emma Leahy, who just published her paper comparing the process of identity building in Russia and Ukraine through the analysis of Moscow and Kyiv murals.
