Navigating the Future of AI: How to deploy AI responsibly and safely?

Join us for a fireside chat with Miles Brundage, PhD (OpenAI) and Prof. Joanna Bryson (Centre for Digital Governance) on the future of artificial intelligence. 

Dr. Brundage will discuss and answer questions about his experiences leading the Policy Research team at OpenAI, including work exploring the societal impacts of GPT-4, DALL-E 2, and other AI systems. He will also comment on progressive changes in the AI policy landscape over the past few years and what remains to be done in order to ensure that AI is deployed responsibly and safely.
Professor Joanna Bryson (Centre for Digital Governance) will moderate the event.

This event is hosted by the Centre for Digital Governance at the Hertie School.

  • Joanna Bryson is Professor of Ethics and Technology at the Hertie School. She is also a faculty member at the Hertie School Centre for Digital Governance. Her research focuses on the impact of technology on human cooperation, and AI/ICT governance. Since July 2020, Prof. Bryson has been one of nine experts nominated by Germany to the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence.
