Cynthia L. Michel is a PhD researcher at the Hertie School. She holds a Master in Public Policy and Administration from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) in Mexico. She has been working as a professor and researcher for the last seven years at CIDE’s Public Administration Department. During these years, she has been conducting theoretical and empirical research on policy integration, policy capacities and implementation. Her field of study is social policy, with emphasis on social protection and care policy regimes. She has developed qualitative research projects for different agencies, including UNDP, IDB, UN- Woman, ILO and the Mexican Ministry of Social Development. She has taught Social Policy, Program evaluation and Research methods at CIDE and the Iberoamerican University in Mexico.
