Daniel Jochum has a background in political and administrative sciences. In his PhD research he focuses on the selection and recruitment of top civil servants, their politicisation and the hybridity of politics and administration as such. He holds a Master in Public Policy from King's College London, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz. Daniel worked as a Research Assistant in the Comparative Agendas Project and as an Empirical Methods Tutor in Konstanz. Further studies brought him to Sciences Po Paris and the University of Havana. In addition to his academic experience, Daniel interned for the Crisis Staff of the German Government, the German Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and in the political division of Scholz & Friends, a PR agency.
