Podcasting

The purpose of this seminar is to give Hertie School students a broad introduction to the potential in podcasting in their careers, while leaving them with some critical tools for producing podcasts in the future. More and more companies are using podcasts not only for marketing and client acquisition but for in-house training and building authority within their fields. NGOs, INGOs and private consulting firms are becoming more aware of the potential impact of podcasts and academics are utilising podcasts for cohesively and conveniently sharing their research. Especially in the era of COVID-19, many conferences are exploring new ways of bringing their content to the public with continued social distancing measures – so that podcasts have found a whole new audience.

In this workshop, we will be touching on our company’s core modules:

  • Planning your podcast
  • Hosting and interviewing skills
  • Recording from home and editing
  • Marketing

The main goal of the workshop is to take participants through the basics of podcasting, with a focus on podcasting for policy and research.
