Hertie School, Sciences Po strengthen global ties

The institutions mark ten years of partnership with a new generation of MPP dual degree students.

The Hertie School in Berlin and Sciences Po in Paris have jointly recruited a new generation of dual degree students in their Master of Public Policy programmes. Nine students from six countries started their dual degree in Paris this September and will move to Berlin for their second year of study next summer.

The year 2016 marks ten years of partnership with Sciences Po (School of Public Affairs), one of the Hertie School’s inaugural partner universities, along with the London School of Economics and Political Science and Columbia University. Ten years later, Sciences Po and the Hertie School have strengthened their partnership by now offering students a dual Master’s degree programme in Public Policy, combining the study of economics, public policy and management.

In a time that dearly needs cooperation and joint solutions, students will share a unique learning experience in two major European capitals and work on responses to the policy challenges we are confronted with in Europe and the world.

As captured in the photo, a signing ceremony with Hertie School president Helmut K. Anheier and Sciences Po director Frédéric Mion marks the official occasion of this renewed partnership.
