Master of Public Policy opens at the Hertie School in Berlin

The Hertie School accepts applications for the postgraduate Master of Public Policy studies until February, 20th 2005. The Hertie School is a newly established School of Governance in the heart of Berlin, Germany. The two year English spoken Masters Program, beginning in September 2005, offers advanced teaching on governance tasks in the public, civil and private sectors for 30 students.

Typical potential students will have studied economics, law, or political science and have achieved an above average Bachelor degree. Also applicants with an other university background are welcome, if they are pursuing a career dealing professionally with problems of modern governance. The multidisciplinary MPP combines excellent interdisciplinary academic education focusing on real-world issues with training in practical skills such as management and negotiation techniques.

After the first academic year, the postgraduates complete an internship in a national or international institution. The MPP will run in close cooperation with international partner universities. The Tuition fees amounts to EUR 10 000 per academic year, but the admission is independent of the students’ financial situation. Scholarships and loans are available.
