Hertie School Library has become a member of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA), the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services and their users.
The Hertie Library also joined the IFLA Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section (ENSULIB) as part of the Hertie School Sustainable Campus Initiative. The ENSULIB section is promoting the idea of the “green library movement” and aims at inspiring librarians and their communities into a more environmentally sustainable way of action. Amongst others, the network’s aim is to reflect the effects of climate change on their institutions, apply environment-friendly practices, and promote sustainability-related library resources and services.
