Hertie School professors contribute to international encyclopedia

Anke Hassel and Helmut K. Anheier section editors of International Encyclopedia of the Social and Behavioural Sciences.

With 23,185 pages, the second edition of the International Encyclopedia of the Social and Behavioral Sciences (IESBS) offers comprehensive insight into all fields of social and behavioral sciences. 3,900 articles provide foundational and interdisciplinary knowledge on topics ranging from Actor-Network Theory to Zooarcheology.

Two Professors of the Hertie School have contributed to the project: President Helmut K. Anheier and Professor of Public Policy Anke Hassel acted as two of the 71 section editors. Helmut Anheier was responsible for the section on Institutions and Infrastructure of Social and Behavioral Studies and Anke Hassel for the section on Public Policy.

The second edition of the International Encyclopedia of the Social and Behavioral Science is published in print and online. It contains new pedagogical features, such as abstracts and cross-references, and has a revised taxonomy to better cope with current research trends.
