Hertie School MPP students bring home awards from Oxford conference

Innovative proposal for bridging the gap between researchers and practitioners wins “Best Vision” award.

Master of Public Policy students Javier Guillot, Bruno Paschoal, and Caio Werneck participated in the FORCE2015 Research Communications & E-Scholarship Conference at Oxford University and received awards for their proposals to improve research communications.

In the session “Multimedia Interactive Policy Research, what’s that?” their presentation titled Bridging the gap between researchers and practitioners showcased an idea for bringing cutting-edge social science research findings to places, where they could actually shape and even provoke social change. The presentation won the “Best Vision” Award. View a video of the presentation below.

The group’s corresponding poster “Making the whole research map available: interactivity and multimedia in policy research” was also honoured with a prize. Check it out here.

Congratulations Javier, Bruno and Caio!
