As an Exchange student you can choose electives (2nd year courses) within one of the graduate programmes on offer: Public Policy or International Affairs. Students who meet the prerequisites might also be able to take electives within the Master of Data Science. All programmes are full-time and taught in English. The Hertie School Course Directory offers an overview of current course offerings but students need to keep in mind that course offerings can vary from year to year.

The Course Catalogue for the Fall semester is usually published in late June and students register for courses in July. Detailed instructions will be provided to admitted candidates via email. Erasmus students who need to submit a Provisional Learning Agreement to their home university should use the course offerings from previous semesters as a general guide for the types of courses that will be offered. However, course enrolment will only be confirmed in mid-August. 

 

Exchange students continue to pay tuition fees to their Home University. All students (incl. exchange students) are obliged to pay for public transportation and Studierendenwerk services.

Please check with your home university if you qualify for Erasmus funding or other grants. The Erasmus code of the Hertie School is D BERLIN25.
