Teach for India Fellowship

In this fellowship with our partner Teach for India, the Hertie School will guarantee Teach for India (TFI) alumni and staff members at least a 25% scholarship upon admission to the Master of Public Policy, Master of International Affairs, Master of Data Science for Public Policy or Executive Master of Public Administration.

This partnership programme is for applicants who have successfully completed their TFI Fellowship and staff members who have worked with TFI for a period of at least 20 months, who wish to pursue a degree in public policy, data science, international affairs or public administration.

Applicants should upload a copy of their Teach for India Fellowship Completion Letter or Employment Confirmation Letter along with the rest of their documents via our online application portal. If the letter is not available at the time of application, you must submit it to the Admissions Team before 1 September at the latest in order to be eligible for the 25% reduction in fees.

Interested applicants should submit their application before 1 May.

The Teach For India Fellowship is an opportunity for India’s brightest and most promising youth, from the nation’s best universities and workplaces, to serve as full-time teachers to children from low-income communities in under-resourced schools. Through two years of teaching and working with key education stakeholders, Teach for India Fellows are exposed to the grassroots realities of India’s education system and cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to attain positions of leadership in and beyond education, working collectively to build a vibrant movement for educational equity across India. As of now, Teach for India have 900 Fellows and the Alumni community is 3900+ members strong, impacting 1 million children directly and reaching 1 in 10 children of India indirectly. More than 80% of Teach for India alumni continue to work in the education sector or the larger development sector post their Fellowship.
