Tim Hildebrandt is Research Associate at the Centre for Digital Governance. He is mainly working on a study for the German Federal Chancellery and on projects with the KPMG-funded Institut für den öffentlichen Sektor e.V. He specialised in public sector innovation, digitalisation and data analysis during his studies at the Hertie School and the Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining the Hertie School, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Law at the University of Bremen and spent one year abroad at the Javeriana University in Bogotá. His professional experience includes assisting the German development agency GIZ’s expert team for disaster risk management as well as completing internships at the German Embassy and at the International Crisis Group in Bogotá. Furthermore, he served the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) for a decade and did his civil service in the Dominican Republic.
