Derya Çakım is a PhD candidate in International Law at the Geneva Graduate Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Marmara University, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and a Master in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute. Derya is admitted to the practice of law in both Germany and Turkey, and has worked previously as an associate attorney, counsel, and a research associate at the Hertie School. She also worked as a legal assistant at the UN International Law Commission.
