Hertie School of Governance establishes Practice Council

Wolfgang Dold, Federal Foreign Office, becomes Chairman of the Council.

Berlin, 16 March 2015 – The Hertie School is now supported by a Practice Council. Chaired by Wolfgang Dold, Director-General for Central Services in the German Federal Foreign Office, the 14 members of the council will ensure that the School's ongoing curricular developments combine academic excellence with a practice orientation that is in keeping with the requirements of the German and international job markets. “As a Professional School, the Hertie School counts academic excellence and a strong practice-driven approach among its key objectives. We want to be able to react to future developments in the private and public sectors as well as in civil society, in order to prepare our students with the necessary skills and work experience while they are still studying. This is also in their future employers’ interest. We are therefore very grateful for the Practice Council members’ commitment to the School”, says Anna Herken, Managing Director of the Hertie School.
