Former Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia served for several years on the Hertie School's Board of Trustees.
The Hertie School community is saddened by the loss of Dr. h.c. Wolfgang Clement, a friend and supporter of the school since its earliest days. The former German Economics and Labour Minister and Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia served on the Hertie School Board of Trustees (Kuratorium) from 2006 until the end of 2015.
We are profoundly grateful for his steadfast commitment to making the school the thriving centre of learning and public debate it has become over the years and offer our sincerest condolences to his family in their time of sorrow.
