Andrea Römmele sees shift in Germany’s support for Ukraine

In the New York Times, the Professor of Communication in Politics and Civil Society comments on the country’s changing stance.

In a recent article in the New York Times, Hertie School Dean of Executive Education and Professor of Communication in Politics and Civil Society Andrea Römmele comments on the progressive shift in Germany’s support for Ukraine. According to Römmele, Germany’s lawmakers have recently been trying to change Ukraine’s perception that they are still more interested in their ties to Russia. She says that SPD parliamentary leader Rolf Mützenich’s March visit to Kyiv “was a very important gesture” in this regard.
