Alina Mungiu-Pippidi calls for strong unity against corruption in Europe in EURACTIV podcast

The anti-corruption expert shares input on “Beyond the Byline” podcast episode examining the impact of corruption.

In an episode of EURACTIV podcast “Beyond the Byline” published on 17 November 2022, Professor of Democracy Studies Alina Mungiu-Pippidi argues that Europe needs to build a strong and “united front” against cross-border corruption which has grown steadily for many years.

The chair of the European Research Centre for Anti-Corruption and State-Building (ERCAS) outlines the two main types of corruption Europe currently faces: national and cross-border corruption – with the latter driven by aggressive actors such as Russia, China and countries in the Gulf States.
