Many professionals in the public, private and non-profit sectors want to improve their skills and qualifications and expand their networks, but may not have the time to complete an entire master’s programme. Executive certificates provide a practical solution. By combining selected seminars, participants can choose between seven Hertie School certificates and two certificates in cooperation with ESCP Business School.
To sucessfully conclude a certificate programme you have to complete grading requirements and also earn credits that you can transfer to the Executive Master of Public Administration.
The registration for certificates is possible at any time during the academic year. Most courses take place on an annual basis.
Executive Certificates
Each certificate requires participants to successfully complete three seminars/workshops and one skills training. Participants must allot time to prepare for seminars and to write follow-up assignments.
With a certificate, participants earn 11 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits. Credits can be transferred to the Executive Master of Public Administration programme, should participants consider enrolling at a later stage. Tuition fees paid for the seminar or certificate programme can be offset against the Executive Master tuition fees.

Hertie School - ESCP Business School Certificate Series
The Hertie School - ESCP Business School Certificate Series is a set of unique short-term executive programmes for managers working at the intersection of business, politics and civil society. Certificates each consist of three to four seminars (with 9-10 days in total), and they address issues and skills related to general management such as leadership, strategy and decision-making. The seminars cover the main concepts, principles and instruments as well as their application in different organisational contexts.
Most seminars take place on an annual basis, either at ESCP Business School (Berlin Campus) or at the Hertie School.
Each certificate requires participants to successfully complete all seminars within two years. Credits can be transferred to ESCP Business School's Executive MBA programme and Hertie School's Executive MPA programme.
