Press walk-through: Historic Robert Koch Forum under renovation - Hertie School to move in

The State of Berlin is in the process of renovating the historic Robert Koch Forum in Berlin-Mitte and investing an additional 42.5 million euros in this project. BIM Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH has been tasked with the construction. After completion, the building in which the bacteriologist Robert Koch made groundbreaking scientific progress in the late 19th and early 20th century, will once again be a home for knowledge creation in Berlin. From 2024, the Hertie School with its over 800 students, professors and staff, will be the main tenant. The school will join the Einstein Center for Digital Future which has resided in the forum since 2017. Joint activities of the Berlin University Alliance, a network of  the Freie Universität, Humboldt-Universität, Technische Universität and Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, will also be co-ordinated from the location.

We cordially invite members of the press to join us for a tour of the historic building with:

  • Michael Müller, Governing Mayor of Berlin and Senator for Science and Research
  • Prof. Dr. Henrik Enderlein, President of the Hertie School
  • Birgit Möhring, Managing Director of BIM Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH
