Picking fights with big oil: The political efficacy of conflictual climate politics in the UK and Norway

At this Sustainability Colloquium, Fergus Green (Lecturer in Political Theory and Public Policy, University College London), presents his research on the political efficacy of conflictual climate politics in the UK and Norway. Following the presentation, attendees will have the chance to discuss and ask questions. This session will be moderated by Claudia Zwar.

 

About our Speaker

Fergus Green is a Lecturer in Political Theory & Public Policy in the Department of Political Science and School of Public Policy, University College London. He works on the politics, governance and ethics of climate change. Green has spent more than 15 years working on these issues from multiple disciplinary perspectives, in numerous countries and in various professional capacities. He completed a PhD in Political Science (Political Theory) at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) in October 2019. Green undertook postdoctoral research at Utrecht University and at the LSE before taking up his current position at UCL in September 2021. He also has more than five years’ professional experience, including as a lawyer and later as a policy analyst and freelance consultant, working on climate change and energy issues.
