A recent study by the think tank "Progressives Zentrum" reveals a strong connection between loneliness and antidemocratic views, threatening the social fabric of societies.
Recognizing this profound impact of loneliness on societies the topic has entered the policy sphere. Both the UK and Japan have established the role of a Minister of Loneliness. The German Family Ministry issued a federal strategy on loneliness just two months ago.
