Fear of terrorism

Current affairs series with Julian Wucherpfennig (Assistant Professor of International Affairs and Security, Hertie School).
This event is open to the Hertie School community.

Fear of terrorism continues to dominate the headlines, and it has become a key motivation for much of domestic and foreign policy in many countries around the globe. We will examine and discuss how and why such fears are objectively warranted or instrumentalised. We will also debate whether particular policy actions can be expected to lower or heighten the risk of terrorism and the societal consequences.
