Julie Tumler from the BFIO (Büro Führungskräfte zu internationalen Organisationen/Bureau for International Organisation’s Personnel) is joining EMPA students for a session on how to get into an international organisation as a mid-career professional. Julie will share her insights from working in the field for over ten years, comment on some of the hurdles as well as opportunities and illustrate examples. While Julie works mostly with German nationals, her expertise also applies to the topic in general and she draws from her extensive knowledge of the sector's diversity.
Before joining the BFIO, Julie Tumbler worked as a human resources manager in the private sector and on human rights and international development issues in the Balkans.
Drinks and snacks will be served and in the spirit of a fireside chat you will have plenty of time for questions and discussion.
