Climate change and the EU: From evidence to action

Prior to the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Sciences Po will host a conversation between students, researchers and contributors from all over Europe on the impact of climate change on local communities. They will discuss the regional, national and international proposals to mitigate and adapt to climate realities.

We have asked students from across the CIVICA alliance to share their opinions about their countries’ strengths and weaknesses in tackling climate change and the role of the EU in this global struggle.

Based on their testimonials, researchers will provide context for the current challenges posed by climate change, analyse possible outcomes for the COP26 conference, and discuss the future of climate action with the public.

  • Carola Klöck, Sciences Po
  • Sebastian Levi, Hertie School
  • László Pintér, Central European University
  • Swenja Surminski, LSE
