Career Workshop: Self-Reflection Basecamp

The three-week Self-Reflection Basecamp is designed to help you discover what motivates you, what skills you have, and where your talents lie. We use tools for self-reflection as well as feedback from others to help you figure out your strengths and driving forces – and how to use them as a tool to navigate your fields of study, and ultimately, your career path! You will also get the chance to discuss roles and opportunities in the job market.

The three-week Self-Reflection Basecamp is designed to help you discover what motivates you, what skills you have, and where your talents lie. We use tools for self-reflection as well as feedback from others to help you figure out your strengths and driving forces – and how to use them as a tool to navigate your fields of study, and ultimately, your career path! You will also get the chance to discuss roles and opportunities in the job market.

Note: Please sign up for the session only if you're 100% committed to the 3-week basecamp programme. We will meet for two hour sessions every week and since the session build on eachother, it is not possible to join just for one or two. Participation in the basecamp is limited to 15 students. The workshop is conducted by Anne Macauley and Anna von Behr and will take place in person onsite at the Hertie School.

Outline of Each Week

Week 1: What are my strengths? What values are important to me?

In the first session we will onboard you and start analyzing your strengths and goals in relation to your values. We will get a first idea of what purpose you might want to focus on in your professional life.

Week 2: How do I show my strengths and values?

In the second session you will get the opportunity to explore your strenghts indepth and receive feedback from your peers.You will get a good sense of how others perceive you and what strenghts they see in you.

Week 3: What jobs are a good fit for me?

In the final session we will look outward and discuss how your strengths, value and purpose relate to possible job profiles. You will put all your insights into a comprehensive job profile that will help you to strategize and prioritize your individual career development.
