Three Hertie School alumni - Victoria Angel (Senior Consultant, Capgemini Invent), Leon Surmann (Consultant, Orphoz Public) and Miguel del Estal (Senior Manager, Kienbaum Consultants International) - who are working and thriving in digital governance consulting, will be answering all your questions about consulting in this 'Ask Me Anything' event.
This event is open to the Hertie community and will be moderated by Amin Oueslati, 1st year MDS student at the Hertie School and member of the Student Advisory Board of the Centre for Digital Governance.
This is our second 'Ask Me Anything' session where students are given the opportunity to directly interact and ask questions to the distinguised guest(s) at the event. Registration is mandatory. The link to the event will be sent on the day of the event.
This event is part of the event series entitled "Career perspectives in digital governance" co-hosted by the Hertie School's Career development team and the Centre for Digital Governance.
Speakers
Victoria Angel is an alumna of the Hertie School (MPP 2018). She has been working in Public Sector Consulting since graduating from the Hertie School and has been at Capgemini Invent since December 2021. Her focus area is digital administration, especially regarding the implementation of the Online Access Act. She is a project leader in strategic consulting projects mainly operating on a national level.
Miguel del Estal is a Senior Manager at Kienbaum Consultants International. As a public management consultant, he supports federal and state ministries and higher authorities in tackling their most pressing challenges. Through empirically robust analyses, a holistic-systemic understanding of public sector organisations and empathy for the people perspective, he assists his clients to successfully develop and implement strategies, effective organisations and innovative administrative services - maneuvering between politics, legal requirements, technological progress and tight budgets. Before rejoining Kienbaum, Miguel was Senior Manager with KPMG Germany. He graduated from the Hertie School (MPP) in 2013.
Leon Surmann is a Consultant at Orphoz Public. He joined McKinsey & Company’s subsidiary specialized in public sector consulting in September 2021. His focus areas are i.a. tech strategy, organizational design, and innovation management. He is an alumnus of the Hertie School (MIA, Finance & Trade, 2020). Leon further holds a double degree in Business Administration from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, Germany and IÉSEG School of Management, France.
Moderator
Amin Oueslati is a first-year Master’s student in Data Science for Public Policy (MDS). Prior to joining Hertie, he was a consultant for McKinsey & Company, where he helped government stakeholders exploit the full potential of digital technologies. His academic interests lie in the quantitative exploration of opinion formation, which, for instance, motivated his involvement in the European election forecasting project Poll of Polls. Amin holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from University College London.
