A European network experiment: Progress and challenges of the Erasmus+ Teacher Academies

An online discussion on the status, progress and challenges of the Erasmus+ Teacher Academies, a new flagship initiative of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and an integral part of the current efforts to create a European Education Area by 2025.

A new flagship initiative of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, the Erasmus+ Teacher Academies bring together teacher education and professional development providers with schools across Europe to tackle the pressing policy issues of teacher shortages and a lacking attractiveness of the teaching professions. Part of the EU’s efforts to create a European Education Area by 2025, the first cohort of eleven Erasmus+ Teacher Academies have started their work in 2022. More are on their way in the coming years.

Including a short keynote by Cécile Le Clercq, panel discussion and Q&A with the audience, this online event provides an opportunity for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, students and others interested in the European field of (teacher) education and training to connect and share insights early on about this pioneering initiative.
