Mair becomes Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship board member

Meeting to take place at World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Johanna Mair, Professor of Organization, Strategy and Leadership at the Hertie School, joins the board of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship as of January 2017.  Mair was unanimously selected to serve a three-year board term. She joins a prestigious group of board members including Klaus and Hilde Schwab, co-founders of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, H.M. Queen Mathilde of Belgium, David Gergen of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, among others.

Mair’s first meeting as an official board member takes place 16 January, 2017 in Davos, Switzerland. This meeting coincides with the World Economic Forum (WEF), which takes place in Davos from 15-21 January, 2017. Mair has a variety of roles at this year’s WEF, where she serves as the vice-chair of the Global Agenda Council on Social Innovation, including serving as a moderator, as a discussant in panels and delivering speeches at dinner events.

The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship seeks to provide regional and global platforms to advance leading models of sustainable social innovation. It works in close collaboration with other stakeholders of the World Economic Forum. Learn more about the Schwab Foundation here.
