Executive Certificate

Certificate in Public Financial Management and Methods

In times of increasing budget constraints, effective budget and financial management systems are central to the successful operation of all public sector organisations. This certificate is aimed at public sector professionals with non-financial backgrounds who are seeking up-to-date methods to improve public sector finances and make effective decisions.

Participants become acquainted with issues such as fiscal challenges, the budget cycle, and performance-based budgeting. They are introduced to public financial management concepts and challenges, gain insight into ‘nudging’ and experimental policy evaluation, and learn techniques for improving public sector decision-making.
